This project consisted of the replacement of the existing artificial turf field at home of the Calgary Stampeders of Canadian Football League and the City of Calgary Dinosaurs Football Club. Work included a comprehensive research and evaluation of the existing surface and recommendations on remediation, as well as developing technical specifications and tender documents for the replacement of the surface.
This was the second time that Cannon Design has been retained to provide services related to replacing the existing artificial turf field. (1999 and 2006). In 2014, JSA Sport Architecture was retained to provide consulting services for the replacement of the turf surface in advance of the 2014 CFL season.
